ADHD UK Support Group for Black Women

We are really pleased to announce that Neurodiverse You's Dr. Miriam Mavia-Zając is now working with ADHD UK to run a new ADHD Support Group for Black Women.

This new group will hold monthly sessions on the last Friday of each month at 1 p.m. UK Time.

The ADHD UK Support Group For Black Women is a safe space for black women who are navigating the unique challenges and strengths of living with ADHD. Led by Dr. Miriam Mavia-Zając, Chartered Psychologist and founder of Neurodiverse You—the group offers a compassionate, inclusive environment where members can come together to share experiences, gain insights, and connect with others who understand the complexities of the intersection of race, gender, and neurodiversity.

This group is open to participants in the UK and beyond, providing an empowering community where Black women impacted by ADHD can feel supported, understood, and truly heard.

ADHD UK receives no government funds. Fundraising is extremely difficult because of the economic climate and because of the discrimination and stigma, which means many can’t be out and ask for fundraising sponsorship. That means any donation you give is extremely valued and is the only way we can do the work we do.

We ask for a donation regardless of size. Even 1p. With a suggested donation of £5.

If you are not in a position to donate then we still want to welcome you and have you attend.

About ADHD UK

ADHD UK was founded in 2020 with a mission to help those affected by ADHD – either those that have the condition or people close to them: family, friends, employers, and co-workers.

ADHD UK is a charity funded solely from personal donations – of both time and money. ADHD is a condition that affects a significant number of people in the UK and, as every person is unique, it impacts individuals differently. We aim to help people navigate their life with ADHD, we want to reduce the stigma that some attach to those with ADHD, build awareness, and undertake or fund research that will have a meaningful positive impact on those with ADHD.

ADHD UK is a registered charity with charity number 1188365.
